Les Petits · Old Bridge, NJ

Kids designer glasses in Old Bridge, NJ.

Les Petits — our kid-scaled corner at Eye Atelier. Proper frames, patient fitting, and lenses that do the hard work while children do theirs.

A child's first pair of glasses is a small, important moment. They deserve a frame that fits, lenses that are right for their prescription and their day, and an adult at the counter who is patient and plain with them. That is what Les Petits is for — a curated kids' corner inside Eye Atelier, scaled and styled for younger clients but held to the same standards as the rest of the boutique.

Our Old Bridge, NJ boutique serves families from across Middlesex and Monmouth Counties — Marlboro, Matawan, Manalapan, East Brunswick, Morganville, Holmdel, Aberdeen, Sayreville, and neighboring towns. Clients come in for first-glasses, replacements, adjustments, and lens overhauls.

What we carry

Les Petits is curated around frames that actually handle children's wear: flexible hinges, lightweight materials, comfortable nose pads, proper temple length. We stock designer kids lines where they are genuinely well-made, and we carry proven names for every day. Colors and silhouettes run from quiet to fun — kids get a say.

Fittings, patiently

We let children try a few favorites. We check that the temples are the right length and that the frame sits clean on the nose. We do not over-adjust in front of a nervous child. For wiggly fittings, we keep it short, get the fit right, and teach them the two-hand put-on so the adjustment lasts.

Lenses for kids

We recommend impact-resistant polycarbonate or Trivex for younger clients. Both are lighter and more durable than standard plastic and hold up to playground physics. Photochromic (color-changing) lenses are a nice option for kids who go in and out of the sun a lot; anti-reflective coatings help for screen time and reading.

Care that survives the school year

Kids are hard on glasses. Come in for adjustments whenever the frame slips or the temple loosens — usually a two-minute fix. We replace nose pads and screws and straighten temples at the bench. Frames we sold are always welcome back; frames purchased elsewhere are welcome too for regular clients.

Kids remember the grownup who took them seriously at the eyeglass counter. We try to be that grownup.
